This policy covers the Compound app for iPhone and Android, run by RGCO LLC ("Compound", "we"). Our online store and website are covered by our separate Privacy Policy.

What the app collects

• Account. Your name and email address, from the Apple or Google account you sign in with.
• Profile and plan. Date of birth, sex, height, weight, goal weight, goal, activity level, training days and diet preferences, and the calorie and macro targets we calculate from them.
• Your logs. Foods and meals, water, weigh-ins, workouts and sets, and the custom foods and recipes you save.
• Photos and videos. Meal photos you take or upload are stored with that diary entry. When you import a recipe from a video, its frames and audio are analyzed to read the recipe and are not stored.
• Coach chat. The messages you send to the AI coach and its replies.
• Notifications. A push token for your device, only if you allow notifications.
• Purchases. Whether you have a subscription, which plan and its status, as confirmed by the App Store or Google Play. Card details are entered in Apple's, Google's or Shopify's own checkout. We never see them.
• Creator and card codes. If you install from a creator's link or enter a creator or card code, we record it so the creator is credited and your offer is applied.
• Time zone, so your days start and end at the right time.
• Location, only if you allow it. While you are adding food, the app takes one reading of your precise location and sends it with your food search, so we can show the menu of the restaurant you are at first. It is used for that search only. We never track your location in the background, never store it, and never use it for advertising or share it. You can turn it off any time in Settings in the app or on your phone.

How we use it

To run the app: calculate your plan, show your diary and progress, track streaks and rewards, send the reminders you turn on, answer your coach questions, apply your offers and credit the creator who referred you.

AI features

When you photograph a meal, describe a meal, import a recipe or message the coach, that content is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to produce the answer. OpenAI processes it on our behalf and, under its API terms, does not use it to train its models.

Apple Health and Health Connect

You can connect the app to Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). It is off until you turn it on.

• What we write: the calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat of each food you log, and each water entry. If you edit or delete an entry in Compound, we update or delete the record we wrote.
• What we read: only your most recent body weight, to keep your plan's targets current. On Android this happens only when you tap "Import weight from Health Connect". We never read your weight history or any other health data.
• How it is used and protected: health data is used only to provide these features. It is never sold, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with third parties. It is not used to make decisions about credit, insurance or employment. You can turn off access at any time in the Health app or in Health Connect settings.
• Our use of information received from Health Connect follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Advertising measurement (iPhone only)

The iPhone app uses Meta's app events tools to measure our ads. It reports installs, sign-ups and subscription purchases, together with your Compound account ID and your email address. Your email address is hashed on your phone before it is sent. This tells us which ads bring in members. Your health, food, photo and coach data, and your location, are never sent to Meta. The Android app has no advertising or analytics tools.

Who processes app data for us

Supabase (hosting and database), OpenAI (AI features), Apple and Google (sign-in, purchases and notifications), Shopify (checkout) and, on iPhone, Meta (ad measurement). They act on our behalf. We do not sell app data.

Security

Everything the app sends travels encrypted (HTTPS). Your logs, plan and coach chat are tied to your account. Meal photos are stored at unguessable links.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your app data while your account exists. To delete it, open the app, go to Settings, tap Delete account and confirm. This deletes your account, profile, logs, photos and coach chat. You can also request deletion without the app at compoundactive.com/pages/delete-account. Order records from our store are kept for tax and accounting, and Apple and Google keep their own purchase records. Anything already written to Apple Health or Health Connect stays there under your control.

The app is intended for adults 18 and over.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email brand@compoundactive.com and we will respond as required by law. We may need to confirm the request comes from you. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
