Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Compound Active collects, uses, and protects your information when you use compoundactive.com. Last updated June 18, 2026.
Overview
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Compound Active (“Compound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), through the website at compoundactive.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell to you.
How We Collect Information
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and payment details — when you create an account, place an order, subscribe to emails or texts, or contact us. We also automatically collect certain device and usage data (such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring links) through cookies and similar technologies when you visit the Site.
Categories We Collect
Over the past 12 months we may have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, IP address); customer records and commercial information (orders placed, products purchased, and payment information processed by our payment provider); internet and device activity (how you browse and interact with the Site); approximate location derived from your IP address; and inferences we draw to personalize your experience. We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to process a payment or fulfill an order, and we do not knowingly sell personal information of anyone under 16.
Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you (when you order, create an account, subscribe, or contact us), automatically from your device (through cookies and similar technologies), and from service providers and partners who help us operate the Site, process payments, ship orders, and run analytics and advertising.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process and fulfill orders, provide customer support, send transactional messages, operate and improve the Site, personalize your experience, prevent fraud, and — where you have opted in — send marketing communications by email and text. We process your information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate business interests, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf — including Shopify (hosting and payments), payment processors, shipping carriers, and our email/SMS provider (Klaviyo) — only as needed to provide our services. We may also disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Compound, our customers, or others. If our business is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Email & SMS Marketing
If you opt in, we send recurring marketing emails and/or text messages about new drops, offers, and brand updates. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any email. For texts, reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Our SMS program is operated with the help of Klaviyo.
Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and support advertising. You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings. We use analytics tools (which may include Google Analytics and Shopify analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site.
Your Choices
You may access or update your account information, unsubscribe from marketing, and adjust cookie preferences at any time. To make a request about your personal information, contact us at support@compoundactive.com.
Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, and other states with applicable laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request access or deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise them, email support@compoundactive.com; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
Because we may share certain information with advertising partners to deliver relevant ads, this can be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some state laws. You can opt out using our cookie banner, by enabling Global Privacy Control, or by emailing us. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and if we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our decision. We aim to respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your personal information on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (such as fulfilling orders); with your consent (such as marketing emails and texts, where required); for our legitimate interests (such as securing, operating, and improving the Site and preventing fraud); and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place.
International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the U.S. and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data-protection laws different from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
Do Not Track & GPC
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is no common industry standard, we do not respond to DNT signals at this time. Where required by law, we treat opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser and device on which it is enabled.
Third-Party Services & Links
The Site may link to or integrate third-party services (such as payment, analytics, advertising, and social platforms) that have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the practices of those third parties; we encourage you to review their policies before providing information.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data Security & Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time by posting the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
